IBRACO SPENDS GOLDEN TIME WITH SENIOR CITIZENS AT THE HUN NAM SIANG TNG.

Ibraco Berhad continued its commitment to community care with a heartwarming CSR visit to Sarawak Hun Nam Siang Tng elderly home, Jalan Sekama, Kuching, on Saturday, 15 November 2025.  The Ibraco volunteers spent half a day with the senior citizens to honour and celebrate the elderly residents and their dedicated caregivers.

The programme was designed to bring joy, create meaningful interactions, and strengthen community bonds with the elderly residents.  Many of the 33 residents—comprising 11 men and 22 women, including 10 bedridden individuals—are never married who were living alone, and whose siblings are unable to care for them.  Even with reasonably good living conditions, seeing a few residents sleeping on beds without mattresses reinforces the importance of continuous support to make their daily living more comfortable and meaningful – a gentle reminder to the group, that ageing is a journey we will all take one day. 

As part of the event, the Ibraco team engaged the assistance of Alpro Pharmacy to provide much needed medical check-ups to ensure the well-being of the residents.  The Ibraco team also provided and joined the elderly for a warm and cheerful lunch session, whilst being entertained with a delightful singing performance by Ibraco’s very own star singer, Eugene Juna Bin Philip.  His performance sparked joy among the residents, with several happily singing along.

In addition, Ibraco contributed essential items needed by the home and presented small gift packs to every resident – small but heartfelt gestures meant to bring a smile and brighten their day.  Beyond the activities, the team spent golden time engaging in heartfelt conversations with all the elderly—an especially meaningful gesture for the residents who cherish companionship.

Ibraco extends its heartfelt appreciation to its dedicated volunteer staffs, totaling 10 of them for this meaningful community work, whose compassion, time, and teamwork made this initiative impactful.   Ibraco also extends its gratitude to Sarawak Hun Nam Siang Tng for allowing the team to continue its efforts in uplifting and supporting the community.   Their collective effort reflects the company's belief that even small gestures of care can create lasting, positive change in the lives of those who need it most.
