Ibraco Berhad Transfers Sponsorship to Hope Place for Charity Without Borders No. 11 Program

In a significant move to support community welfare, Ibraco Berhad has officially handed over sponsorship to Hope Place for the upcoming Charity Without Borders No. 11 program, scheduled to take place from December 12 to 15, 2024, in Sg Silat, Ulu Baram. This annual initiative aims to provide vital health screenings and food aid to local villages while fostering knowledge-sharing through essential skills training.

The program, which began in 2013 under the leadership of Kelvin Wan, continues to grow, drawing support from various partners, including the Sarawak State Health Department (JKNS), the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), and Sarawak Energy Berhad. This collaboration underscores the collective commitment to improving the quality of life for residents in remote areas.

Participants will embark on a challenging 12-hour journey to Sg Silat via 4WD, facilitated by a partnership between Hope Place and the Kelab Cabaran Pacuan 4 Roda Bintulu. The joint venture includes members from Sarawak, Sabah, and Brunei, showcasing a united front in humanitarian efforts.

In addition to health services, the program will feature hands-on training for villagers on crucial skills, such as the proper use of fire extinguishers and safety measures for solar lighting. These initiatives aim to enhance safety and self-sufficiency within the communities served.

Furthermore, local volunteers from a Bintulu salon will offer complimentary haircuts, adding a personal touch to the charity event and fostering community spirit.

Hope Place's ongoing commitment to uplift underserved communities is evident in this annual event, which not only addresses immediate health and safety needs but also empowers residents with knowledge and skills for a sustainable future.

As the countdown to Charity Without Borders No. 11 begins, the collaboration between Ibraco Berhad, Hope Place, and various partners promises to make a significant impact in the lives of the villagers of Sg Silat.
